In the context of the spread of coronavirus infection, and given that many people will not be able to personally visit churches on Easter Day, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, believers, who remain at home, can bless Easter cakes, paskhas, eggs and other Easter food on their own, as follows:
Before the paskhal meal, the Easter troparion should be sung three times:
"Christ is risen from the dead, /trampling down death by death, / and to those in the tombs He has given life",
then sprinkle the holy water (if available) over the food while saying:
“In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Amen".
