On April 17, 2020, on the eve of the Great Saturday, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served Matins with the rite of the burial of our Lord Jesus Christ at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.His Grace was assisted by acting Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-East of England, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the end of the Matins of the Great Saturday, the Right Reverend Archpastor delivered a sermon.
The service was broadcasted live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
Due to the state quarantine measures to combat the coronavirus epidemic, churches of the Diocese of Sourozh, including the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London, are closed for visits until a special order by the authorities.
