According to the long-established tradition, bishops, clergy and faithful from all Orthodox Churches represented in London will gather on the evening of the Sunday of Orthodoxy, which this year falls on the 1st of March, for common prayer and to celebrate our unity in the Orthodox Faith.
The Vespers will take place at 6 pm at the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St Sava, by the kind invitation of His Grace Bishop Dositej of Great Britain and Scandinavia. His Eminence Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira and Great Britain will preside and the guest preacher will be Hieromonk Nikolai (Sakharov) of the Monastery of St John the Baptist.
During Lent in the Dormition Cathedral the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick (Unction) will take place every week:

I greet you most warmly with the great feast of the Nativity of Christ, the triumph of the uniting of Heaven and earth through the mysterious birth into the world of the God-child!
VIGIL will begin at 9.00pm.
DIVINE LITURGY will begin at about 11.00pm.
In connection with the completion of the first phase of repairs and the reconstruction of the altar,
On the 31st of December at 5.00pm the newly built altar of the Main Church will be consecrated.
On the 31st of December at 6.00pm a Moleben for the New Year will be served.
At midnight the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated, beginning with the Hours at 11.30pm on 31st December.
On Saturday, Dec 20th, the annual Diocesan Meeting was held in Manchester at the Church of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill addressed the audience about the importance of being grateful to God, leadership, youth work and searching for one’s other half.
On the 18th and 19th of November, 2014, a large-scale International Orthodox Youth Forum was held in Moscow. 10,000 delegates came from Russian Orthodox dioceses from all over the world, from Kazakhstan to Canada, Siberia to Ireland. The Diocese of Sourozh was represented by Archpriest Stephen Platt from Oxford, Anastasia Denisova from London and Ivan Kozodoev from Dublin.
On 3rd September 2014, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh took part in an unprecedented meeting of the leaders and representatives of the Christian Churches of Great Britain and the Churches of the Middle East.
On 28 August, on the parish holy day of the Dormition of The Mother of God, the festive church service took place in the small church of the London Dormition Cathedral.
On Sunday 17th August, Archpriest Maxim Mitrofanov celebrated his last service as a priest of the London Cathedral.
On 4th of August, the day of the 11th anniversary of the repose of ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), founder of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, Suffragan Bishop of the diocese, celebrated a panikhida at the Old Brompton cemetery.
The funeral of Archpriest John Lee, former Dean of the London Cathedral of the Dormition, took place at St Andrew's, Holborn on Tuesday, 1st July.
2014 is a jubilee year for the Diocese of Sourozh, which is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founder, the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom). One of the main events dedicated to the jubilee was the Annual Sourozh Diocesan Conference ‘Metropolitan Anthony: Pastor of the Church of Christ’, which took place on 20th - 22nd June in Hertfordshire near London.
Archpriest John Lee, a close friend and disciple of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), peacefully departed this life on the evening of 18th June.
On 19th June, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at theCathedral with the participation of a large number of the faithful.
On 11th June, Archbishop Elisey attended a service in Westminster Abbey, dedicated to the Orthodox British composer Sir John Tavener.
On 8th June, Feast of the Holy Trinity, the Miracle-working ‘‘Kursk-Root’’ Icon of the Mother of God ‘‘of the Sign’’ visited the Dormition Cathedral of the Diocese of Sourozh.
On Thursday, May 29th, the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, Archbishop Elisey met with His Eminence, Metropolitan Ignatios of the Archdiocese of France, Western and Southern Europe, who is on a pastoral visit to the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of the British Isles and Ireland.
On 24th May, the commemoration day of Ss Cyril and Methodius, Equal-to-the-Apostles (the Name Day of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia) and the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, Archbishop Elisey if Sourozh and Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Sourozh, took part in the solemn celebration of the Divine Liturgy, presided by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and His Holiness Patriarch Neophytos of Bulgaria at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
