« The Miracle-working ‘‘Kursk-Root’’ Icon of the Mother of God ‘‘of the Sign’’ visited the Dormition Cathedral »

On 8th June, Feast of the Holy Trinity, the Miracle-working ‘‘Kursk-Root’’ Icon of the Mother of God ‘‘of the Sign’’ visited the Dormition Cathedral of the Diocese of Sourozh. The holy icon was brought to the Cathedral by Archpriest Vladimir Vilgerts, Sacristan of the London Cathedral of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God and the Royal Martyrs of the Russian Orthodox Church outside Russia.
The sacred spiritual treasure of the Russian emigration was solemnly met by Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh, Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, suffragan bishop of the Diocese of Sourozh, the Cathedral clergy and a multitude of parishioners who had come to venerate it. A Moleben with the Akathist to the Mother of God was celebrated in front of the wonder-working icon. It remained at the Cathedral till the end of the day and departed after the evening service.
