On 19th June, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at theCathedral with the participation of a large number of the faithful. The service was headed by Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh and Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch. The Cathedral clergy concelebrated. A panikhida for Metrpolitan Anthony was celebrated after the Liturgy.
A festal meal was served in the library after the service.
Later that day Archbishop Elisey, Archbishop Anatoly and the clergy celebrated a panikhida at Metropolitan Anthony's grave in Brompton cemetery.
The Diocese of Sourozh will be organising a series of events this year to commemorate the centenary of its founder. One of the main events will be the Diocesan Conference which will take place from 20th to 22nd June in Hertfordshire.
