On 7th October, the official launch of The Way, a course introductory to the Orthodox faith, elaborated by the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies in Cambridge took place at the Hall of St Botolph's Church without Bishopgate, London.
On 6th October, at the ordinary session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, it was resolved to assign Priest George Zavershinsky, employee of the Department for the External Church Relations, to the Diocese of Sourozh in order to provide pastoral service in Scotland and to assign Priest Nikolai Evseev, cleric of the Patriarchal metochion in Dublin, to the Diocese of Sourozh in order to provide pastoral care for the parishes of the Irish Deanery
On Saturday 25th September, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the parish of the Diocese of Sourozh in Kings Lynn.
On 17th September, the Heads of the Roman Catholic and Anglican Churches took part in the evening service at Westminster Abbey dedicated to the visit of Pope Benedict XVI. Archbishop Elisey and some members of the Diocese of Sourozh attended the service among other representatives of Cristian Communities of Great Britain.
On 11th September, day of commemoration of the Beheading of St John the Baptist, at the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London, the Divine Liturgy was concelebrated by almost all the clergy of the Diocese of Sourozh who complete their pastoral service in the territory of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

On September 9, 2010, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, met with Archbishop Rowan Williams of Canterbury at Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the primate of the Church of England.
On Thursday 9th September, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate visited the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London. Vladyka Hilarion was received by Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh, Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Sourozh, the the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral - many of them remember Vladyka Hilarion from the time he served in the British Isles.
On September 9, 2010, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relation, met with the deputy director of the UN Drug and Crime Office, Mr. Yuri Fedotov, at the Russian embassy in London. Metropolitan Hilarion is on a visit to Great Britain with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and on invitation by Archbishop Rowan Williams of Canterbury.
On Saturday, 4th September, after the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated a Moleben for the beginning of the academic year at the Cathedral of the Dormition in London.
On Saturday 28th August, the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London.
On 27th August, the Forefeast of the Dormition of the Mother of God, the Patronal Feast of the Cathedral of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh blessed the Antimensions received with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia to celebrate divine services in the 30 parishes of the Diocese of Sourozh.
On 18th August, the Diocese of Sourozh transferred £5000 in aid of the victims of the forest fires in Russia to the special account of the Department of Church Charity and Social Work of the Holy Synod.
On Saturday, 21st August, the parishioners of the Cathedral of the Dormition in London together with the faithful of the Parish of St Andrew the First-Called in Romford took part in a pilgrimage to the holy places of Essex.
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh called the members of the Diocese of Sourozh to support those who suffered from the forest fires in Russia.
The annual children’s summer camp of the Diocese of Sourozh, dedicated to St Seraphim of Sarov, took place in the village of Malswick, near Newent in Gloucestershire, from 24 July – 4 August. The camp is under the direction of Fr Stephen Platt, co-head of the Diocesan Youth Department, and organised with the support of the Parish of St Nicholas the Wonderworker in Oxford.
Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh visited Kiev, capital of Ukraine, from 22nd to 28th July and took part in the session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church and the celebrations of the 1022nd anniversary of the Baptism of Russ.
On Sunday, 18th July, the commemoration of the Venerable Martyrs the Grand Duchess Elizabeth and Nun Barbara, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Parish of the Diocese of Sourozh in Bodiam which was celebrating its Patronal Feast.
