« Easter Reception held at the Cathedral »

An Easter Reception was held at the Dormition Cathedral of the Sourozh Diocese after the evening service on Bright Monday. The reception was attended by Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, the Russian Ambassador to Britain, A V Yakovenko and  the Ambassador of Ukraine V D Khandogiy with their spouses. Also in attendance were senior officials from the embassies of Orthodox countries, representatives of the local Orthodox Churches, clergy of the diocese and members of the Parish Assembly.

Congratulating those present on the bright feast of Christ's Resurrection, Archbishop Elisey thanked the participants for their common work and prayer and expressed the hope that the joy of Easter would always remain in our hearts.

The Russian Ambassador, A V Yakovenko, in turn, thanked Archbishop Elisey for his invitation and warm welcome and expressed the hope that fruitful co-operation between Sourozh diocese and the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation would be strengthened.
