« Clergy of the diocese presented with hierarchical awards »

At the evening service on Bright Monday, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh presented a number of the clergy of the diocese hierarchical awards, which had been approved by Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow and All Russia.

Archbishop Elisey elevated Fr Maxim Mitrofanov to the rank of archpriest . The right to wear the palitza was awarded to Archpriest Mikhail Dudko and Archpriest Vadim Zakrevsky. Archbishop Elisey also awarded the right to wear a double orarion Deacon Vadim Santsevich.

The service was attended by the ambassadors of Orthodox countries and the diplomatic corps, representatives of the local Orthodox Churches, the Apostolic Nuncio Antonio Mennini, and other guests, together with members of the Parish Assembly.

After the service, the sacristan of the Cathedral, Archpriest Mikhail Dudko expressed thanks to Archbishop Elisey on behalf of those who had been granted awards.

Archbishop of Elisey welcomed the congregation with the Paschal greeting "Christ is risen!", and wished that the joy of Easter would be poured into the hearts of the faithful, strengthening them in faith and piety.
