On August 4, 2023, on the 21st anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served a panikhida at the grave of the ever-memorable founder of the Sourozh Diocese.
His Grace was assisted by Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, diocesan clergy, and clergy of the UOC temporarily residing in the territory of the Sourozh Diocese.
The deacon's rank was led by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The funeral hymns were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral in London under the direction of Anna Kobrina.
The service was attended by parishioners of the Dormition Cathedral, spiritual children and admirers of Metropolitan Anthony, who came from various cities in Great Britain and from abroad.
After the panikhida, Bishop Matthew addressed those present with an edifying speech. Vladyka warmly thanked everyone for their joint prayers on this memorable day, noting that the clergy and the faithful of the Sourozh Diocese continue to carefully preserve the memory and legacy of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony.
