« On the eve of the 6th Sunday after Pentecost, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London »

On the evening of August 3, 2024, on the eve of the 6th Sunday after Pentecost, the day of remembrance of the myrrh-bearing Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene (I), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-West England, Priest Nikita Kozlov, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, and Protodeacon Ioan Sîlnic.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Anna Kobrina.
During the polyeleos, a reliquary containing great Christian relics (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Theotokos and particles of the holy relics of the chosen saints of God) was brought out of the altar to the center of the church.
After reading the Gospel, the Right Reverend Vladyka anointed the clergy and worshipers with consecrated oil.
