On June 29, 2024, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh attended a diplomatic reception organized by the Apostolic Nuncio of the Roman Catholic Church in Great Britain, Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía, on the occasion of the celebration of the day of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul (according to the Gregorian calendar) and the eleventh anniversary of the pontificate of Pope Francis.His Grace Bishop Matthew was accompanied by the Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko.
The solemn event, held at the London residence of the nuncio, brought together a large number of representatives of Christian Churches and various religious denominations, heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of the diplomatic corps, politicians, representatives of business and public circles, and cultural figures.
