« A pilgrimage to the source of St. Seiriol on the Anglesey island »

On June 29, 2024, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the annual pilgrimage to the holy spring of St. Seiriol (VI century), located on the territory of Penmont Abbey, founded by St. Seiriol and located on the island of Anglesey off the north-west coast of Wales, county Isle of Anglesey.
In the monastery church of Penmon Abbey, erected in 1123 on the site of a wooden church built in the 6th century, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the cleric of the Sourozh diocese, Priest Anatoly Vikhrov.  At the divine service, pilgrims from the parishes of the diocesan district of Northern England prayed and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ.  Liturgical hymns were performed by singers from the Church of the Intercession in Manchester and from the Parish of the Presentation of the Lord in Bradford.
After the Liturgy, a religious procession took place to the holy spring, where a moleben was served.
At the end, the pilgrims shared a meal in a picturesque place by the sea not far from the spring and the church of St. Seiriol.
