On June 28, 2023, on the eve of the day of commemoration of the transfer of the relics of St. Theophan, the Recluse of Vysha (2002), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated great vespers with the reading of the akathist to St. Theophan at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the male choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
After the service, the Right Reverend Archpastor addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of a sermon.
