On the morning of April 14, 2023, on Good Friday, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served the Royal Hours at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the Royal Hours, readings from Old Testament prophecies, apostolic epistles and Four Gospels, telling about the  trial of the Lord Jesus Christ by Pontius Pilate, as well as about His suffering, death and the removal of the Savior from the Cross, were proclaimed in both Church Slavonic and English.
After the service of Hours, Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky delivered a sermon.
