« His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh led the funeral service for subdeacon Jeremy Hart »

On November 4, 2021, after the Divine Liturgy on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh led the funeral service for the newly departed subdeacon (with consecration) Jeremy Hart.

Right Reverend Vladyka was assisted by archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-West England archpriest Joseph Skinner, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese priest Dimitry Nedostupenko and deacon Victor Nikiforov.

The funeral hymns were performed by the chamber choir of the Cathedral under the direction of the choir master Dmitry Tugarinov.

At the end of the funeral service, Vladyka Matthew expressed his condolences to the clergy, parishioners of the Cathedral, where subdeacon Jeremy served for many years, as well as to the family and friends of the deceased.

Subdeacon Jeremy was buried at Brookwood cemetery, Surrey.
