« The memory of Venerable Serafim of Sarov was honored at the Cathedral of London »

On January 15, 2018, on the 185th anniversary of the passing away of the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, his memory was prayerfully honored at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.

Upon the completion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh led a prayer service before the icon of Reverend Seraphim with a particle of his holy relics and a fragment of his clothing with traces of blood of the monk, in which he was dressed during the attack on him by robbers in the forest.

At the end of the divine service, His Grace addressed the parishioners with a sermon, paying particular attention to the life of the monk and the history of his glorification among the God's Saints.
