His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-West England, Archpriest Nikolai Preskure, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
Following the prayer behind the Ambon, the image of St. Basil the Great, with a part of his holy relics, was brought from the altar to the centre of the Cathedral, and His Grace, together with the serving clergy, sung glorification in front if the icon.
Upon completion of the divine service, Vladyka Matthew addressed the congregation gathered in the cathedral for prayer with a sermon, revealing the meaning of the feast of the Circumcision of the Lord, partularly noting the liturgical writings of St. Basil the Great, and congratulated all present with the coming New Year.
