On September 11, 2018, on the day of the Beheading of John the Baptist, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of St. John the Baptist  of the Orthodox V district of the Patriarchal parishes in Canada, in Chipman settlement.

Vladyka was assisted by Archpriest Igor Kisil, Dean of the parishes in Canada, and Priest Alexy Surayev, Rector of the church. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Vladyka greeted the rector of the church and addressed the parishioners with a sermon about the life and martyrdom of St. John the Baptist. 

In the library of the parish, Vladyka offered books about the history of Orthodoxy in Great Britain.
