On September 10, 2018, on the eve of the Feast of the Beheading of John the Baptist, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served an evening service at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the settlement of Nisku of Orthodox IX district of the Patriarchal Parishes in Canada.

Near the temple, Vladyka was met by Archpriest Igor Kisil, Dean of the Canadian parishes, who showed Vladyka the tombs of deceased bishops, clergy and parishioners at the parish cemetery. 
Brief funeral services were served
at the graves of Archbishop Panteleimon of Edmonton and Canada, Archpriest John Margitich and Viktor Lopushinsky, Cathedral churchwarden.
After visiting the cemetery, Vladyka Matthew served Great Vespers at the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, addressed the parishioners with a sermon and anointed all present with consecrated oil. 
In the library of the parish, Vladyka presented books on the history of Orthodoxy in Great Britain.
