On December 9, 2018, the 28th week after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.
His Emminence was assisted by Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov, senior priest and confessor of the Moscow stavropegical St.Alexis covent, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Priest Sergiy Fedorenko, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, Deacon Anton Ivashin and Deacon Viktor Nikiforov.
At the augmented litany, special petitions were raised for the unity of the Orthodox Church and the preservation of the Church from schisms and divisions.
After the special litany, the Right Reverend Vladyka prayed for peace in Ukraine.
Upon after-communion verse, the sermon was delivered by Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov.
The liturgical chants were sung by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of M.V. Bezmenova.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew congratulated everyone with Sunday and thanked Fr. Artemy for joint worship and a visit to the Cathedral.
After the service, a meeting of Father Artemy Vladimirov with parishioners of the Cathedral was held in the temple library. During the meeting Father Artemy presented his new books and answered questions from the parishioners.
