On the 1st of February, the fourth anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh took part in the Divine Liturgyand the festive reception at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.

From the 2nd to the 5th of February, Archbishop Elisey participated in the work of the Sacred Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church. The Council was attended by 290 bishops from 247 dioceses of the Moscow Patriarchate covering the territories of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus  Moldavia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Latvia, Lithuania as well as the countries further abroad where there exist dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church.
