« On the eve of the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated an all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London »

On the evening of July 20, on the eve of the feast of the appearance of the icon of the Most Holy Mother of God in Kazan, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated an all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
Concelebrating with His Grace were Priest Nikita Kozlov, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Alexander Kapustin.
Liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Anna Kobrina.
During the all-night vigil, during the celebration of the polyeleos, an ark with great Christian shrines (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Theotokos and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints) was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.
At Matins, after reading the Gospel, Vladyka Matthew anointed the clergy and parishioners with consecrated oil.
