On September 10, 2023, on the 14th Sunday after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy of the UOC temporarily staying on the territory of the Sourozh Diocese, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
Liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
Before the start of the Liturgy, an ark with great Christian shrines (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Mother of God and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints) was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.
After the augmented litany, the Most Reverend Bishop proclaimed a prayer for the granting of peace.
At the funeral litany, the Archpastor offered prayers for the newly departed Metropolitan Veniamin (Zaritsky) of Orenburg and Saraktas.
At the end of the Liturgy, Bishop Matthew addressed those present with an archpastoral word. Simultaneous translation into English was provided by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Bishop Matthew honored the treasurer of the Sourozh diocese A.F. Bardakov with a Patriarchal award - medal of the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov, in recognition of his work for the benefit of the Holy Church and in connection with his 50th birthday.

The medal of the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov is awarded to clergy, monastics and laity for their contribution to the revival of monasteries and churches, for pastoral and church-social activities.
