On June 29, 2023, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh attended a diplomatic reception on the occasion of the appointment of the new Apostolic Nuncio of the Roman Catholic Church in Great Britain, Archbishop Miguel Mauri Buendia.
His Grace Bishop Matthew was accompanied by the Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko.
The solemn event, held at the Nuncio's London residence, brought together a large number of representatives of Christian Churches and various religious denominations, heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of the diplomatic corps, politicians, representatives of business and public circles, and cultural figures.
