On May 6, 2023, on the feast day of the Great Martyr George the Victorious, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated and a parish meeting was held in the parish in honour of the Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God in Brighton.The festive service was officiated by the Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Rector of the parish, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk.
At the end of the divine service and the traditional meal, members of the community took part in the parish meeting. The meeting was held for the first time after a long break caused by quarantine measures during the period of restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Archpriest Vitaly, who led the meeting, introduced the agenda to those present and made a report on the state of affairs in the parish. After that, elections were held for the parish council.
Ekaterina Koshkina was unanimously elected churchwarden of the parish, who for some time has been carrying out this obedience as an acting officer. The meeting unanimously voted for a new parish treasurer, Irina Sandin. At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed topical issues of parish life and were able to ask the Rector their questions.
