On the evening of November 28, 2023, on the eve of the day of remembrance of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Matthew (60), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated an all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
Concelebrating with His Grace were Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy and guests of the Sourozh diocese.
The diaconal rank was headed by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the all-night vigil, at the polyeleos, an ark with great Christian shrines (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Theotokos and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints) was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.
At Matins, after reading the Gospel, Vladyka Matthew anointed the clergy and parishioners with consecrated oil.
