On Saturday evening, September 10, 2022, on the eve of the 13th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of the Beheading of the Prophet John, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporarily Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated an all-night vigil at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoe, Moscow.His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Damian Kruglik and the clergy of the church.
During Vespers, Vladyka Matthew served a litia with the consecration of five loaves, wheat, wine, and oil.
At Matins of the all-night vigil, after reading the Gospel, His Grace Archpastor anointed the clergy and parishioners with consecrated oil.
