On September 11, 2022, on the 13th Sunday after Pentecost, the day of the Beheading of the Prophet John, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.
His Eminence was assisted by Archpriest Damian Kruglik and the clergy of the church.
After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the address of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the occasion of the Day of Sobriety was read out, and then the Most Reverend Archpastor served a moleben for those suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction.
At the end of the service, Vladyka Matthew congratulated the parishioners and the clergy of the church with the feast day and addressed those present with a word of spiritual edification.
