« Patronal celebration at the Dormition Cathedral in London »

On August 27-28, 2022, on the feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, festive services were held at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh and Deputy Dean of the Dormition Cathedral in London, headed the All-Night Vigil and the Divine Liturgy. Father Dimitry was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South West England, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, and Deacon Ioan Silnik.
Liturgical hymns were sung by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of the choir master Dmitry Tugarinov.
The service was broadcast live on the Facebook Life of Sourozh page.
During the All-Night Vigil' polyeleos, a shroud depicting the Dormition of the Mother of God was taken out from the altar to the middle of the church.
At the Divine Liturgy, solemn prayerful petitions for the granting of peace were lifted up.
After the prayer behind the ambo, the clergy sung glorification in front of the shroud and a procession with prayer singing took place on the Cathedral square.
At the end of the service, Archpriest Dimitry addressed the parishioners with words of a sermon and conveyed festive congratulations on the patronal feast from the Rector of the Cathedral, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh.
