« Annual pilgrimage to the Holy Well of St. Seiriol (VI century) in Penmon, Wales »

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the ancient church of St. Seiriol, the oldest part of which dates back to 1140. At the divine service, Father Anatoly was co-served by Hegumen Deiniol (Davies), Rector of the Church of All Saints of Wales in Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of South West England.
The liturgical hymns were sung by the choirs of the deanery of the Diocesan District of Northern England and Wales. The divine service was celebrated in three languages: Church Slavonic, English and Welsh.
After the dismissal of the Liturgy, Hegumen Deiniol briefly told the pilgrims about the life of venerable St Seiriol, who founded a monastery here, which flourished on the island until it was devastated by the Vikings in 971.
After the Liturgy, a procession to the source of St Seiriol took place, where the water-blessed moleben was served.
After the moleben, the pilgrims continued their communion over a meal in a picturesque place by the sea, located not far from the Holy Well and the church of St Seiriol.
