On March 27, 2022, on the Sunday of the Cross, with a large gathering of worshipers in the church of St. Zosima and St. Savvaty of Solovki in Golyanovo, Moscow, a solemn hierarchical service was celebrated. Two bishops co-served at the Divine Liturgy: Bishop Panteleimon of Vereya, Vicar of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Administrator of the Eastern Vicariate of Moscow, and Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada.
The Dean of the Voskresenski District, archpriest Alexander Dasaev, the church Rector priest Roman Bogdasarov, the clergy of the church and the vicariate co-served with the Bishops.
At the Liturgy, students of the Church's Sunday School and numerous parishioners received the Sacrament of Communion.
In his Archpastoral sermon, Vladyka Panteleimon greeted Vladyka Matthew, who was able to pray that day along with the faithful of the Eastern Vicariate. Vladyka Panteleimon also congratulated Fr. Roman Bogdasarov with his 6th anniversary as the Rector of the parish. Then, on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, Vladyka presented the church award “Patriarchal Gratitude” to Deputy Health Minister O.O. Salagai, in connection with his active interaction with the Russian Orthodox Church.
In turn, the Rector thanked Vladyka Panteleimon and Vladyka Matthew for visiting the parish and offered memorable gifts to them.
At the end of the Liturgy, the veneration of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord took place.
Then the Bishops and clergy were given a tour of the picture gallery of the New Martyrs of Russia, located in the Parish House, after which a common meal was held, to which all parishioners were invited. At the meal, children from the "Slovo" Educational Centre sang patriotic songs about faith and the Motherland. The Sunday School students presented the Archpastors with crafts of their own work and asked questions of interest to them.
