On May 1, 2021, Great Saturday, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated Vespers with the reading of parimias and the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, priest Nil Lyubchenko and protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

The liturgical hymns were sung by the quartet under the direction of the choir director Dmitry Tugarinov.

After the prayer behind the ambon, His Grace Bishop consecrated bread and wine and lifted up the prayer for peace in the Holy Land, which is offered annually on Great Saturday in all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church.

At the end of the Liturgy, the Archpastor addressed the parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification.

The service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
