On October 25, 2021, during an archpastoral visit to North America, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, arrived in Ottawa.
Vladyka held a working meeting with the staff of the Moscow Patriarchate Representation in the United States - Hegumen Nikodim (Balyasnikov) and priest Mark Rashkov, who arrived in Canada as part of a delegation of the clergy of the Patriarchal parishes in the United States to participate in the hierarchical divine service and the work of the Episcopal Council.
During the meeting, current documents were considered and the agenda of the Council's work, which will take place on October 26 after the Liturgy, was discussed. The meeting was also attended by Vladyka's personal secretary Nikolai Trubnikov.
