On January 17, 2020, on the 32nd Sunday after Pentecost, Sunday before the Epiphany, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the augmented litany, petitions were raised to get rid of the spread of the harmful epidemic - coronavirus infection.  Then His Grace Vladyka offered up a prayer, which is read during the spread of a harmful epidemic.
At the end of the Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew addressed the parishioners with words of a sermon.
The service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
After the service, His Grace Vladyka held a meeting with the church staff.  The meeting discussed issues of preparation for the Feast of the Epiphany and practical aspects of the organization of parish life.
