On March 24, 2020, the funeral service for the church volunteer Igor Stepshin took place at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London. For many years I. Stepshin voluntarily carried various obediences to the church, and worked daily in the Cathedral.  A good memory of him will remain in the hearts of the clergy and parishioners.

The service was headed by the secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko.  The funeral was attended by Bishop Matthew of Sourozh and the church staff.

According to the order by the British authorities, churches are closed for visits from March 23, 2020 until special instructions.  However, as an exception, churches may carry out funeral services in the presence of a limited number of relatives and friends.
