On March 21, 2020, on the eve of the 3rd Sunday of the Great Lent, the Cross-worshiping week, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served all-night vigil with the procession of carrying the Holy and Life-giving Cross of the Lord at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, acting Dean of the diocesan district of the South-East of England, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Priest Victor Akhryapin and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of Dimitry Tugarinov.

After the Great Doxology, the Right Reverend Vladyka performed the rite of carrying the Cross.

At the end of the service, the Secretary of the Diocese Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko announced the appeal of Bishop Matthew to the faithful children of the Diocese of Sourozh in connection with the decision of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland relating to the fight against the epidemic of coronavirus.
