On February 21, 2020, on the eve of the Universal Parental Saturday, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served a memorial service (parastasis) at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the memorial litanies special petitions were offered "for the repose of the souls of the departed servants of God, all our forefathers, fathers and bretheren, Orthodox Christians, who have fallen asleep throughout the ages".
