« Patronal feast was celebrated in the Intercession Church in Manchester »

On October 11, 2020, on the 18th Sunday after Pentecost, on the eve of the feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, a patronal feast was celebrated in the Intercession Church in the city of Manchester.

With the blessing of the Rector of the church, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Priest Anatoly Vikhrov who was assisted by Deacon Nil Lyubchenko.

After the prayer before the ambo, a glorification was sung in front of the ancient image of the Intersession of the Most Holy Mother of God, - the main icon of the Manchester parish.  After that, Father Anatoly addressed the parishioners with words of sermon and congratulated all those present with the upcoming patronal feast.

Due to government regulations during the coronavirus epidemic, a limited number of parishioners attended the Liturgy.  During the service, all the necessary measures of social distancing were observed.
