On January 15, 2020, on the day of memory of St. Seraphim of Sarov, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.

After the  prayer before the ambon, the Archpastor and the clergy sung glorification in  front of the icon of Monk Seraphim.

The icon with a particle of relics was donated by His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II in 1991 during his official visit to London.  A part of the monk’s shirt is enclosed in the icon case with evidence that this is a genuine “part of the shirt of St. Seraphim, in which he was beaten up by robbers, a trace of blood is visible on the shirt.  Gift of the nun Lyudmila (nun of the Seraphim-Diveevo Convent) N.V.  Boykovich 1918 "
