On January 13, 2020, on the eve of the feast of the Circumcision of the Lord and the day of memory of St. Basil the Great, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh headed the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-West of England, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-East of England, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
At the beginning of Vespers, His Grace blessed Alexander Selegenev for the altar obedience and the wearing of the stikhar.
Liturgical chants were sung by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of Marina Bezmenova.
At the Matins of the all-night vigil, the Archpastor anointed the clergy and parishioners with consecrated oil.
