« On the eve of the Sunday after the Exaltation of the Cross, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served an all-night vigil at St. George Church in New York, USA »

On Saturday, September 29, the eve of the Sunday after the Exaltation of the Cross, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, visited the church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious in New York's Queens district, where he served Great Vespers with lithia.  Archpriest Igor Tarasov, Rector of the church, managing the affairs of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States, co-served with Vladyka.
At the end of the service, Vladyka Matthew greeted Fr. Igor, who, on behalf of the parish, expressed heartfelt gratitude  for the joy of praying together with their archpastor.  In turn, Bishop  Matthew congratulated those present with ongoing celebration of the feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross and, in memory of the hierarchical service at St. George's Church, gave to everyone, as his archpastoral blessing, icons of the Mother of God.
