On December 26, 2019, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, took part in the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, which was chaired by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia at the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence at the Danilov Monastery in Moscow.
At the final meeting of the outgoing year, the members of the Synod considered a number of important issues and made decisions on the external and internal organization of life in the Russian Orthodox Church.
