On September 16, 2018, on the 16th Sunday after Pentecost, on the feast day of the transfer of the holy relics of the holy pious princes Peter and Fevronia, Murom miracle-workers, the Right Reverend Matthew, Bishop of Sourozh, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Eminence was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Deacon Vladimir Castravet and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
During the Divine Liturgy, prayers were offered for the preservation of the unity of the Holy Orthodox Church and for peace in Ukraine.
After the last prayer, the Most Reverend Vladyka and the clergy praised Holy pious princes Peter and Fevronia.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew congratulated those present at the divine service with the feast and addressed the clergy and parishioners with a word of edification. The Archpastor drew attention to the prayers offered for the unity of the Orthodox Church. These petitions are connected with the decision adopted by the Holy Synod of our Church in connection with the current situation in Ukraine. Vladyka urged everyone to intensively pray for Orthodox Christians living in Ukraine, so that the Lord would pacify hearts of those who oppose the Church of Christ.
