« Bishop Matthew of Sourozh met with A.N. Darchiev, Ambassador of Russia in Canad »

On September 6, 2018  Bishop Matthew of Sourozh met with A.N. Darchiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Canada, at the Embassy of Russia in Ottawa.

The meeting was attended by S.E. Timoshenko, Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Edmonton  and A.P. Posekin, the first secretary of the Embassy. Mr. Ambassador told Vladyka about the history of Russia's diplomatic mission in Canada, current state of relations between  two countries and the state of affairs in Canadian society. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of church-state cooperation in Canada.
