On August 27, 2018, on the eve of the feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the patronal feast of the church, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Emminence was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Michael Nasonov, Dean of the Diocesan District of the parishes in the Republic of Ireland, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Archpriest Nikolai Prescura, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Deacon Anton Ivashin, Deacon Vladimir Castravet, Deacon Ioann Kazadoyev and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.

During the Matins of the all-night vigil, a shroud with the image of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin was brought out from the altar for worship. 

The Right Reverend Vladyka anointed the believers with consecrated oil.
