On Tuesday, August 4, 2018, on the 12th Sunday after Pentecost, on the feast of the Origination of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Eminence was assisted by Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
Traditionally, during the service on this day, the consecration of the new honey harvest is performed in the churches of the Russian Orthodox Church. Therefore, after the final prayer, the Right Reverend Archpastor made a small blessing of water and consecrated honey.
At the end of the service, the Right Reverend Vladyka addressed the believers with archpastoral sermon dedicated to the feast.
