On July 17, 2018, on the centenary of the execution of the Royal Family, the Hierarchical Divine Service was celebrated at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
The Divine Liturgy was led by the Most Reverend Silouan, Metropolitan of the British Isles and Ireland (Antiochian Patriarchate) and His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh.
The Archpastors were assisted at the Divine Liturgy by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, Deacon Victor Nikiforov and Deacon Michel Touma (Antiochian Patriarchate).
Liturgical chants were sung by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of M.V. Bezmenova.
At the end of the service, the Archpastors and the clergy venerated the holy Royal Passion-Bearers.
Vladyka Matthew warmly greeted Vladyka Silouan, thanked him for the joint prayers and for the Eucharistic communion on such a significant day for the faithful of the Russian Orthodox Church and offered to him, as a sign of gratitude, a bouquet of flowers and souvenirs.
After the Liturgy, His Grace Vladyka Matthew gave a festive dinner in honor of the high guest.
