« Archbishop Elisey visited the Parish in Romford »

On Saturday, 14th December, His Eminence Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh visited the Parish of St Andrew the First-Called in Romford, which was celebrating its patronal festival. The Rector of the parish, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, and Deacon Vadim Santsevich of the London Cathedral concelebrated at the Divine Liturgy headed by Vladyka Elisey.  

Welcoming the Archbishop, Fr Joseph underlined the importance of the visit for strengthening the awareness that the parish belongs to the wider Church through the bishop as successor of the Apostles. In response, Vladyka expressed his happiness at being able to visit and pray with the parishioners, whose numbers had increased significantly in the last two years.  

The visit concluded with a festive meal organised by the parishioners.
