On December 13th in Pushkin House, London, an exhibition of icons entitled "The Star of Bethlehem", opened. The exhibition has been prepared by the Prosopon School of Iconography. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Diocese of Sourozh including Archpriest Mikhail Dudko, Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, staff and parishioners of the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London.
The Prosopon School of Iconography was founded in the United States 15 years ago by a painter born in Russia, Vladislav Andreyev. It operates with the blessing of the Hierarchy of the Orthodox Church in America. A characteristic feature of the school's style of icon painting is a combination of the best Russian and Byzantine traditions. When working on icons the school uses only natural colors and materials.
