« The first Baptism took place on the Isle of Man »

On Saturday 16th October, the first Baptism on the Isle of Man was celebrated at the Parish of the Royal Passion-Bearers in Douglas. After the Divine Liturgy, Rector of the Parish Archpriest Vadim Zakrevsky, cleric of the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London, baptised two babies.

After the service, at a meeting of the Parish Assembly, the Statute of the Parish was adopted. The Parish of the Royal Passion-Bearers was opened in 2008.
